Group Swimming Lessons
Our Ocean Fitness Swimmer Scheme is taught by fully qualified instructors and is designed for children from the age of 4 to ensure that their swimming progresses at a suitable pace and that they are constantly in a class that suits their swimming ability.
With courses lasting seven weeks per term, participants are kept focused and motivated while their swimming progresses.
Classes are offered exclusively for members of Ocean Fitness and class sizes are kept small - meaning limited places - so early booking is highly recommended!

Sarah Lynch has been operating as a personal swimming instructor in Ocean Fitness since 2010, teaching both children and adults of all abilities to become comfortable and confident in the water. Sarah's clients have ranged in age from 2 years up to 72 years of age; no-one is too young or too old to hop in the water! Sarah has worked with confident adult swimmers to help improve technique, efficiency and endurance in the water, with aims to take part in triathlons, open water swims or just as a regular lifelong exercise.
Sarah holds an Honours degree in Health, Fitness & Leisure Studies from the Institute of Technology Tralee, specializing in Aquatics; is a Level 1 Swimming Coach and has experience in Halliwick Swim Therapy Concept devised to teach people with special needs . Sarah has over 12 years' experience teaching swimming. Sarah has previously worked for Limerick Youth Service and Enable Ireland Children's service where she was part of the Family Support Service team and also worked under the physiotherapy team delivering aquatic therapy to children with primary physical disabilities.
Sarah is passionate about ensuring the swimming experience for all swimmers, young and old, is an enjoyable one. Sarah sees swimming as a lifelong skill and an important activity to pass onto children to carry it into their lives. Having being a lover of the water since a baby, but never swimming competitively, Sarah feels she has a special understanding to all who want to learn to swim and aims to do her best to help people understand the properties of water an make them feel comfortable in and around water without having the pressure to perform to a certain standard.
Working for the past few year with children on a one to one and small group basis Sarah has seen first hand the progress children make when they have an enjoyable and focused learning experience. Building her team of highly qualified and dedicated swimming instructor in the past 2 years, Sarah now introduces ‘Swim Buddies', learn to swim programme, with the aim to continue to provide a high standard of fun and friendly swimming lessons.
